Enter stage left The Jones Family Affair, this Covent Garden restaurant is one not to miss. Places to Visit in Bath | A Foodie Destination
I adore Bath. It’s one of my favourite places in England outside of London, and it’s so easy to get to even as a day trip. So much so I’ve become well versed in the places to visit in Bath – semi-conducting tours with many friends and family over the years. Disclaimer: This time we were guests of Visit Bath but the multiple visits with overseas guests and for spa weekends with the girls should explain just how much I love this place.
But, one of the things I adore about every single visit to this golden city is discovering something new every single time.

The Pink Afternoon Tea at the Shangri La London Hotel
The incredible Pink Afternoon Tea at Ting in the Shangri-La London has been inspired by the journeys of four incredible women, Gina, Maggie, Mandy and Michele, who received breast cancer treatment at Guy’s Cancer. [Disclosure: we were guests of the Shangri-La London hotel but all enthusing is very much my own.]
I wanted to begin the review with their stories – this wonderful afternoon tea is as delicious and luxurious as befits a Shangri-La creation – but as someone who has had friends and family who have battled breast cancer, the fact that the Shangri-La team is supporting Breast Cancer Awareness Month with rose-hued dining, means so much.
English Sparkling Wine: A Visit to Tinwood Estate in Chichester
We were bound for Chichester, the sun was shining and Tinwood Estate were busily readying an private tasting of their English sparkling wine for 3 thirsty bloggers. Monday = won. (Disclosure: We were guests of the Tinwood Estate team team – but all musings are mine!)
It’s so wonderful to see how beautifully English wines have been developing over the last decade (how on earth have I lived here for so long?). Interestingly, French champagne houses have been buying up land in the UK and planting vineyards over here…
